Mo Blanton is a Senior Paralegal for Commonwealth Law Group, working specifically with founding partner Matt Lastrapes with a focus on personal injury cases involving clients who have been seriously injured due to the negligence of another party or entity, including drunk driving accidents, car and truck accidents, and slip-and-falls.
Mo joined CLG in April 2017 and brought 15 years of paralegal experience. She started her career working as a receptionist in a law firm focused on adoption and surrogacy law, but later found that she had an affinity for providing paralegal support in the personal injury and workers’ compensation realm.
She credits her father for her choice of a career in the legal profession. He owned a court reporting company and often shared his work experiences. Mo found his stories engaging and counts them among the many reasons she sought to pursue a career in the legal field.
Mo describes herself as having “mad grammar skills and a keen sense of humor,” which she uses to put clients at ease during what can be a very stressful time of their lives. She arrives at work each morning with boundless energy to work through the priorities of the day, focusing on pressing deadlines to streamline the process of helping our clients’ cases move along efficiently and effectively.
After hours and on weekends, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her two dogs who collectively weigh 15 pounds but loom large in her world: she describes them as her “happy place.”
