Do I have to go to the “company doctor?” Can I choose my own doctor?

When seeking medical treatment, do not just use the “company doctor.”  You can request a panel of three doctors to choose from and if you are not provided one within a reasonable amount of time, you may choose your own. Be sure to get a disability note from your doctor after every appointment. If your employer offers you work within your doctor’s restrictions, do not refuse it.
